INDEPENDENT PROGRAM -  Enjoy the flexibility of finding your own job.

Since this visa is an open work visa, the program gives you the freedom and flexibility in finding a job anywhere in the U.S.  The job you want is only limited by your imagination! CCUSA will help support your job search by offering assistance in building your resume and fining the best online job boards in the area where you want to be.

Having the flexibility to find your own job means:

  • you can work in a role and place where you want to work.
  • you can look for a job or experience that is associated with your course of study to gain industry experience.
  • you can look for a job in a location where you have friends or family that currently live in the States - they may have connections and links to jobs in the area they live, or at least keep an eye out for you! 
  • you can secure a job before you depart, or get one once you’re ready to start working.

Some features of this unique visa mean you have great options for finding employment:

  • you do not have to have a job before entering the US, and have no set timeframe to find one
  • you can work multiple jobs
  • you can change employers
  • there is no set time you need to be employed for (this is a work and travel visa)

Our program options allow you to decide whether you would like to stay and work in the US for 6 months or 12 months.
