Earn Money While Studying
Living abroad can be expensive, but with our partner Tamwood you can earn money while you study to help with living expenses. No matter which program you’re in, your Canadian study permit will allow you to work part-time (up to 20 hours per week) while studying and full-time in your Co-Op work term. Tamwood Careers offers workshops, hiring fairs, and tools to assist you in finding work fast! Most students find jobs in hospitality, retail, and tourism right away and make on average $15- $18 per hour.
Travel
You are responsible for your own travel to Canada.
Travel Insurance
You are required to obtain comprehensive travel insurance for the entire duration of your stay. Your Canadian Study Permit dates will match the exact dates of your insurance coverage when you enter Canada. You have the option of purchasing a CCUSA Insurance Plan, so you are safely covered while you are travelling and working in Canada. The fees involved vary based on length and type of coverage you choose. Check with your CCUSA office for more details.

Accommodations
Options include homestay, single or double occupancy dormitory or shared apartment. Please see available options in our brochure.
Fees
Below are the basic fees for the Work Adventures Canada Work and Study Program. You should also consider the following costs when finalizing your budget: federal police background check, insurance, flights, proof of funds, add-on options and living expenses while in Canada.

Eligibility
*For the Global Start-up study program, you must be at least 19yrs of age and have at least one year of school or work experience in field of study.

The application process
- Follow the link to Apply
- Complete and return all the documents with payment to CCUSA. Be sure to read and sign the Program Agreement.
- We will contact you within 48 hours to arrange a “Welcome Call”.
Applications are accepted year-round. You must apply to CCUSA at least 12 - 16 weeks prior to your anticipated program start date.
