ADVANCED SAILING REquirements

Have a level 1 sail instructor certificate (or similar);

  • Minimum Level 1 Sail Instructor Certificate with at least 1 year experience. Or At least 2 years advanced coaching experience with the ability to demonstrate these skills:

    • Rigging

    • Launch and recovery of the boat

    • Winds, tides and currents

    • Rescue procedures and towing

    • Sailing techniques, tacking and gybing

    • Rope work and knots

    • A desire to teach children in a fun, encouraging and safe manner.

ELITE SAILING requirements:

  • All the above Advanced skills requirements plus two years of experience teaching or professional experience in sailing.
  • Provide footage of your skills on types of boats in your CCUSA application video.
