Program Eligibility
WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- People with a genuine desire and interest to work with children, and who preferably have previous experience with children.
- Fluent English speakers.
- Flexible and hardworking people who are happy to adapt to any environment and try any role that comes their way.
- Availability to start working in May or June (no later than June 15th) and available to work until at least the late August/ Early September.
Application Process
The 4 simple steps:
- Complete an online application, upload a selfie, read/sign the Electronic program agreement and pay the application fee.
- Schedule an interview with our friendly CCUSA staff
- Submit your 2 completed CCUSA References and a introduction video (45 seconds).
- We then match you to a great camp.
THE Work permit/VISA
You have two great options for work permits. The 1-2 year International Experience Canada Working Holiday (IEC VISA) or the Employer Specific Camp Counselor Work Permit. We can help with you with whichever is the best fit for you.
- The IEC Working Holiday visa: This is a great option for participants wanting to spend 1-2 years in Canada. You can work for multiple employers while traveling and enjoying all the epic seasons of Canada. Click here for an overview of the online application process.
- The Employer Specific Camp Counselor Work Permit: For those only interested in the summer, the Camp Counsellor Work Permit is an ideal option. The paperwork is completed prior to departure, and you will apply for work permit at the airport when you fly into Canada. This work permit is only valid for the summer season at 1 employer. You cannot switch jobs or employers.
