PROGRAMS AT A GLANCE

Camp Counselors USA

  • As part of the program, you receive Standard (economy) Plan insurance (no additional cost). This will cover you from the start date of your J1 visa until the end date of your J1 Visa.
  • You can upgrade the cover to the Premium Plan and/or extend the policy by paying an additional premium to cover your 30 days before and 30 days after camp. 
  • Due to U.S. State Department  J-1 Work and Travel Visa requirements, CCUSA’s insurance policy is mandatory for the dates listed on the DS2019 form and needs to start from the day you enter the US. For coverage during any travel time after the dates on your DS2019 form, you must extend your insurance coverage to cover this period.
  • Costs of extending and upgrading your insurance coverage are outlined on the program agreement found when you sign up for the program.

Camp Counselors Canada

  • As part of the program, you receive up to 10 weeks Standard (economy) Plan insurance (no additional cost). 
  • If your camp contract runs longer than 10 weeks you will be required to extend your policy with CCUSA.
  • You can upgrade the cover to the Premium Plan and/or extend the policy by paying an additional premium.
  • Due to Canadian Visa requirement insurance coverage is a mandatory part of applying for the program and visa. 
  • Costs of extending and upgrading your insurance coverage are outlined on the program agreement found when you sign up for the program.

Camp Counselors Russia - NOTE this program is not currently operating

  • You are invoiced for either 1 or 2 Months Standard (economy) Plan insurance once accepted into the program.
  • You can upgrade the cover to the Premium Plan and/or extend the policy by paying an additional premium.
  • Due to the Russian Visa requirement insurance coverage is a mandatory part of applying for the program. 
  • Costs of extending and upgrading your insurance coverage are outlined on the program agreement found when you sign up for the program.

Camp California

  • As part of the program, you receive an Standard (economy) Plan insurance at no additional cost to cover the time you are working at camp 
  • You can upgrade the cover to the Premium Plan and/or extend the policy by paying an additional premium.
  • Costs of extending and upgrading your insurance coverage are outlined on the program agreement found when you sign up for the program.

Work Experience USA

  • Due to U.S. State Department  J-1 Work and Travel Visa requirement, the Standard (economy) Plan insurance policy is mandatory. This plan includes snow, skiing and snowboarding as part of the program.
  • As part of the Work Experience USA program you will receive 90 days Standard (economy) Plan insurance coverage included as part of the program.
  • If you are traveling before and/or after these dates or your visa is longer than 90 days, you must extend your insurance to cover these dates as the insurance needs to start from the day you enter the US. 
  • You can upgrade the cover to the Premium Plan and/or extend the policy by paying an additional premium.
  • Costs of extending and upgrading your insurance coverage are outlined on the program agreement found when you sign up for the program.

Working Holiday USA, Practical Training USA, Intern USA

  • Due to U.S. State Department  J-1 Work and Travel Visa requirement, the Standard (economy) Plan insurance policy is mandatory for the dates listed on the DS2019 form. This plan includes snow, skiing and snowboarding as part of the program. 
  • If you are traveling before and/or after these dates you must extend your insurance to cover these dates as the insurance needs to start from the day you enter the US. 
  • As part of the Working Holiday USA program you will receive 12 months Standard (economy) Plan insurance coverage included as part of the program (does not include any grace periods).
  • As part of the Practical Training USA and Intern USA program you will need to purchase at least the 12 months Standard (economy) Plan for the length of your visa and any grace periods before and after your visa.
  • You can upgrade the cover to the Premium Plan and/or extend the policy by paying an additional premium.
  • Costs of extending and upgrading your insurance coverage are outlined on the program agreement found when you sign up for the program.

Work in English Pubs

  • You can purchase either the Standard (economy) Plan insurance or Premium Plan policy through CCUSA.
  • UK Visa requirements strongly recommend obtaining insurance coverage for your entire time in the UK. 
  • Costs of extending and upgrading your insurance coverage are outlined on the program agreement found when you sign up for the program.

CCUSA Insurance Plans

No matter where you travel overseas, it’s a good idea to have travel insurance. CCUSA provides a travel insurance policy for travel from Australia for applicants participating in one of our programs and can be upgraded and extended up to maximum period of 12 months.

Travel insurance is mandatory for ALL programs being applied for due to visa requirements and/or program requirements. Upon joining the program you will be covered under the CCUSA group travel insurance policy for the duration of your journey. The certificate sets out the benefits of the Policy and is designed to help you decide if the insurance is right for you. If the insurance cover provided is not suited to your individual needs, you can choose to purchase alternative insurance to provide additional cover to that provided to you as part of the program under the CCUSA group travel insurance policy. 

The insurance is offered and underwritten by Sirius International Insurance Corporation (publ) (the company) and will be administered by the Company's authorized representative and plan administrator, International Medical Group, Inc. (IMG). The contract of insurance between the insurance person and the Company is issued, finalized and made in Bermuda. The subjects, risks and benefits of insurance covered by the Master Policy and evidenced by the Certificate are not intended or considered by the insurance person or the Company (or the Plan Administrator) to be resident, located, or performed in any particular country, jurisdiction, state or political subdivision. Bermuda law shall govern all rights and claims raised under this Certificate of Insurance.
