The fee covers enrolment on the program, the placement, arrival/landing program, monitoring and support throughout the placement.

An average working week can range from 30 hours to 50 hours.

  • You will complete our program partners registration and job application form 
  • You will complete a telephone interview with a UK consultant before arriving in the UK
  • We will confirm placement once you arrive in the UK.

On average most people will earn £6.70  per hour.

  • Where overtime is available (over 40 hours per week), the company will advise you of the standard rate.
  • You may receive tips depending on the nature of your job; these may range from £5.00 to £30.00 a day.
  • Salaries are paid weekly, fortnightly or monthly into your English bank account.

Everyone working in the UK makes National Insurance Contributions and are deducted from your gross pay (approx. 12%). These contributions entitle you to free medical attention in the National Health Service and statutory sick pay. Once you return to Australia you can lodge a claim to get this back.

Everyone working in the UK has to pay tax. You will receive full details of this during your arrival orientation. You are eligible to lodge a tax return each year.

Yes! Your employer will be able to provide details of your local tax office. Please call them and explain that you intend to leave the UK and would like to make an income tax claim. Alternatively, you can use the services from the link provided.

No! You should register with a doctor as soon as you can. To register you will need to provide a residence address and proof of that address. Normally you will be asked to provide utility bills as proof, but a letter of appointment from the NI will often do.

You can contact the office and request to see another house and we will provide a new house, you will not lose your deposit and you will not pay a relocation admin fee.

You will take the tube. It is very straight forward and we will provide all the instructions and telephone numbers for you to call, if you arrive outside of working hours we can book you into a hostel .

Using the London underground. You will most likely be living with people travelling to the same job. We only have jobs in London which are easy to get to using the underground system.

You will be informed of this when you get your job. Don’t worry about that for now. When you get to London we will show you where to get what you require. Often we will provide the uniform for you, depending on the Job. If you are in an office, you will be required to wear office attire.
