CCUSA TRAVEL INSURANCE

No matter where you travel overseas, it’s a good idea to have travel insurance.  CCUSA provides a travel insurance policy that covers all travel outside Australia for applicants participating in one of our programs and can be upgraded and extended up to a maximum period of 18 months.

Medical, emergency dental, hospital and ambulance costs when agreed by us. Includes funeral expenses incurred overseas or repatriation of mortal remains.

Financial loss due to unforeseen cancellation of prepaid travel and accommodation arrangements due to an insured event. Includes course fees not refunded as well as travel agency cancellation fees charged.

Medical Evacuation and Additional Expenses

Medical evacuation home or to the nearest appropriate medical facility. Cover is also provided for reasonable additional travelling expenses (Economy Class) incurred by you for returning to your home earlier than planned due to accidental injury, serious illness, death of you, any person with whom you are intending to travel, or of an immediate relative of yours. Please note no pre-existing medical conditions are covered under the insurance policy.

PROGRAMS AT A GLANCE

Camp Counselors USA

  • As part of the program, you receive 3 months Economy Insurance at no additional cost.
  • You can upgrade the cover or extend the policy by paying an additional premium .
  • Due to U.S. State Department  J-1 Work and Travel Visa requirements, CCUSA’s travel insurance policy is mandatory for the dates listed on the DS2019 form and needs to start from the day you enter the US. For coverage during any travel time after the dates on your DS2019 form, you must extend your insurance coverage to cover this period.
  • Refer to the Camp Counselors USA Program “What You Pay” section and program agreement for costs of the extending and upgrading to the Premium insurance coverage.

Camp Counselors Canada

  • As part of the program, you receive 3 months Economy Insurance at no additional cost.
  • You can upgrade the cover or extend the policy by paying an additional premium.
  • Due to Canadian Visa requirement insurance coverage is a mandatory part of applying for the program and visa. 
  • Refer to the Camp Counselors Canada Program “What You Pay” section and program agreement for costs of the extending and upgrading to the Premium insurance coverage.

Camp Counselors Russia

  • You are invoiced for either 1 or 2 Months Economy Coverage once accepted into the program.
  • You can upgrade the cover or extend the policy by paying an additional premium.
  • Due to Visa requirement Insurance coverage is a mandatory part of applying for the program. 
  • Refer to the Camp Counselors Russia Program “What You Pay” section and program agreement for costs of the extending and upgrading to the Premium insurance coverage.

Camp California

  • As part of the program, you receive 3 months Economy Insurance at no additional cost.
  • You can upgrade the cover or extend the policy by paying an additional premium.
  • Contact CCUSA and refer to the program agreement for costs of the extending and upgrading to the Premium insurance coverage.

Work Experience USA or Working Holiday USA or Practical Training USA

  • Due to U.S. State Department  J-1 Work and Travel Visa requirement, CCUSA’s travel insurance policy is mandatory for the dates listed on the DS2019 form and needs to start from the day you enter the US. For coverage during any travel time after the dates on your DS2019 form, you must extend your insurance coverage to cover this period.
  • The Economy insurance policy is the mandatory minimum in order to participate in these programs.
  • Refer to the Work Experience USA or Working Holiday USA or Practical Training USA Program “What You Pay” section and program agreement for costs of the Economy and Premium insurance coverage

Work & Play Canada

  • You can purchase either the Economy or Premium policy through CCUSA.
  • Due to Canadian Visa requirements, insurance coverage is a mandatory part of applying for the visa. 
  • Refer to the Work & Play Canada Program “What You Pay” section and program agreement for costs of the Economy and Premium insurance coverage.

Work Exchange UK & Work in English Pubs

  • You can purchase either the Economy or Premium policy through CCUSA.
  • UK Visa requirements strongly recommend to obtain insurance coverage for your entire time in the UK. 
  • Refer to the Work Exchange UK or Work in English Pubs Program “What You Pay” section and program agreement for costs of the Economy and Premium insurance coverage.

Volunteer Experience Africa, Asia or Latin America

  • You can purchase either the Economy or Premium policy through CCUSA.
  • To apply to any of our volunteer programs you must have insurance coverage for your entire time while on the program. 
  • Refer to the Volunteer Experience Africa, Volunteer Experience Asia, Volunteer Experience Latin America Program “What You Pay” section and program agreement for costs of the Economy and Premium insurance coverage.

The CCUSA travel insurance is mandatory for ALL programs being applied for due to Head Office and Visa requirements. Depending on which program you apply for, the CCUSA travel insurance is either included or an additional cost. If the insurance is not automatically included in the program you are applying for, you will need to purchase it through CCUSA in order to participate in the program. If the insurance cover provided is not suited to your individual needs, you can choose to purchase alternative insurance in addition to the CCUSA Travel Insurance policy.
